The River of Rock is a network of affiliated music-centric websites, owned and operated by Pennsylvania-based 33 Dimensions LLC. The core of our network are the “Rock Review” sites.
The gran-daddy of all our sites, Modern Rock Review was launched in 2010 as a place for in-depth, comprehensive profiles of long standing rock groups. Since then it has evolved to an international hub for new, independent music with album and EP reviews, tour and festival blogs, news on new album releases and other distinct features, such as our “Choice 5 Albums” and “Modern Classic” reviews.
Classic Rock Review originally began as a special feature on Modern Rock Review in 2011 before becoming its own independent entity a year later. Currently the most popular site in our network, Classic Rock Review has published over 500 album reviews from the classic rock era starting in 1965 and continuing until the end of the 20th century. Like Modern Rock Review, Classic Rock Review has a strong and ever-growing international audience.
Keystone Rock Review is a local, Pennsylvania-based website which was derived from a previous entertainment website called DAMES of PA. Keystone Rock Review focuses on Pennsylvania-based music, past and present, as well as events, art, technology and culture based in the Keystone state.
Our newest (and final) website, Roots Rock Review, was launched in 2016. This website’s mission is to focus both on the classic American genres (blues, jazz, rockabilly, classic country, R&B, soul, Gospel, etc.) prior to 1965 and modern day Americana and artists that keep those classic genres alive today.
